You will die….a lot. If you’re looking for a challenging and engaging title then look no further! This game is one of the hardest games you’ll find, and not because the game is unfair or because it’s difficulty unexpectedly spikes; no, no, no. This game is punishing from the get-go and if you make a mistake and perish, it is 100% your fault. There is a great psychological story that acts as the backbone for the experience and sets up much of the challenge that awaits in this gem and it keeps you engaged and invested with not just the main character but also the cast of characters you meet along the way.

The art style is a great take on the 16-bit graphics of old and looks gorgeous as you traverse the hazards that await. There are puzzle solving elements mixed in with the brutal platforming that will have you fetching keys, etc., all while making your way through the daunting environments that will undoubtedly make you die thousands of times.

Overall I give this game a 9/10. Fantastic game if you can get past the difficulty and have a bit of patience.
