The Procession to Cavalry is a game I came across perusing GamePass. It reminded me of the cutscenes from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Knowing nothing else I downloaded and started it up right away.
It’s a classic point-and-click puzzle adventure with extremely funny writing. My fiance even stopped playing her game just to watch me play this one because of how enjoyable it was to watch me play it.
You play a lady-knight and the game starts right after the ending of a war. You love to kill, but you’ve since been forbidden to kill by the new ruler. However, you make your plea to make one final kill, and you are granted permission to kill the prior king who has fled to another part of the country and taken up his crown again. You’ll meet characters such as a long haired charlatan that can turn water into wine, who later gets crucified, and then stuck in a cave. You’ll meet a group and demon worshipping humanoid animals that eat pearls. It’s just a joy to play.
There are three endings to be had, and you can get them all within 5 hours. It’s a very short game but I enjoyed it very much. If you’re looking for tons of laughs and have an evening to kill, download this one and give it a shot! It’s available pretty much everywhere, so you have no excuse.
P.S. This game is not child-friendly.
