Dragon Quest III

This is actually a prequel to the first two games, and a completion of the “Erdrick Trilogy.”
It is by far the best of the three games. You have the main character, and then you have the flexibility to create the rest of your party. There is a tavern in the first town where you can create and hire your own characters and bring up to three with you. Each character has a class and a personality that affects stat growth rates. At level 20, you can reclass, start back at level 1, and lose half your stat gains. It’s pretty fun to make your party and class composition!
The world is HUGE in this one compared to the others. About 4x the size. I barely touched a guide for this one, the townspeople were more than helpful dropping all the hints you need as long as you keep your eyes open and look for the hidden items you need to move the story
Lots of old school difficulty spikes, but nothing that seemed downright unfair like in the final stretch of the previous game.
Overall I’d give in an 8/10. It improved on it’s predecessors in all the right ways.
